GRID — a free multiplayer shooter you play in your browser
Open a link. Pick a callsign. Fight. GRID is a fast top-down arena shooter that runs in
any modern browser — no download, no installer and no account wall — on a phone, a tablet
or a desktop. Six weapons, four game modes, a dash on a three-second leash and a rail gun
that shoots straight through people.
Play GRID now — free, in your browser.
Game modes
- Team Deathmatch — up to 4v4, first team to 30 kills.
-
Gun Game — free-for-all up to 6 players; every kill hands you the next
weapon on a six-rung ladder, and dying to the blade knocks you back one.
-
Capture the Flag — up to 4v4, steal the enemy flag and carry it home,
first to three captures.
-
Ranked 1v1 duel — entered through the queue. Both players carry the
same weapon, so the fight is aim and positioning, and ratings show on the leaderboard.
Every casual mode also has a practice room against bots, so nobody learns in public.
The weapons
- Blaster — your opening hand. No spread, no surprises.
- Pulse SMG — close-quarters shredder; burst it, do not spray.
-
Scatter — doorway king. Eight pellets, and nothing past twelve metres.
- Lance — the all-rounder every duel is fought with.
- Nova Blade — two swings, one body. Getting there is the trick.
- Rail — one shot, one kill, through whoever is standing behind.
How it plays
- Dash three metres out of trouble, ready again three seconds later.
-
Three grenades a match, and they bounce — the corner you cannot see is still yours.
-
Heal pads and shield pads on the floor; the shield soaks damage before your health.
-
The minimap only shows an enemy you have seen or heard fire, and only for four seconds.
A flank is something you earn.
- A daily challenge, streaks and five trophies for keeping one alive.

Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. GRID runs in any modern browser — desktop, tablet or phone. Open the URL, pick a
callsign, and you are in the arena.
Is it free?
Yes. The beta is completely free: no store, no battle pass, and nothing you can buy that
makes you stronger.
Do I need an account?
No. Pick a callsign and play. Claiming a name is optional and takes one click — it keeps
the name yours and puts your matches on the leaderboard.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Phones and tablets play the same matches as desktops, with on-screen twin-stick
controls. Turn the phone sideways for the full width of the arena.
Is there ranked play?
Yes — rated 1v1 duels through the ranked queue, matched on rating, with a ladder on the
leaderboard.
